It is not winter yet, but going through my notes from last year and all the expectations I had for the year 2020 kind of brought my spirit down. I had so much for 2020, I had a lot to offer. Right now, I feel like I've failed myself.

However, in the spirit of positivity, I've decided to make it up to myself and still hit the expectations I set for myself from last year. At least, half of them if not all.

* Lifting Spirits *

“It is never too late to start again. Just flip the leaf and you get a brand new page to start afresh.”

I have decided to make a blog post out of all my notes that content can be curated from, as regular as school work lets me. I have almost 200 notes worth of content in my phone notepad, and y'all, I'm such a creative, beautiful, and inspiring writer. It promises to be an exciting, therapeutic ride, as blogging them is a huge let out for me to finally get my ideas to the world.

* Me being vulnerable *

Like I mentioned in the subheading, I didn't get to accomplish all that I had for 2020. Blogging about it is more than just an outlet for me. Speak of accountability, this is me asking you to be my accountability partner as I get on this exciting ride of hitting my targets. Add some sprinkles of grace for the days I won't meet up the expectations. I'm still in medical school, and as much as school sucks, I still want to be a first-class medical doctor and that means I have to give huge attention to my studies first. Right now, it's academics over career, though the gap in-between both of them is not so huge, lol!

Show Up

Showing up doesn't always mean victory assured. But show up still, there are lessons to pick.”

Show up? Muna, what do you mean by show up? Well, get on the ride with me. Get involved in my blog. Participate in the challenges that would come along, (P.S: there is grace for the days we won't be available to turn up, but we do what?? We move!!)

Let's get started!

Well, what are we waiting for? Get the drums rolling and let's get started! Let's give ourselves the chance to really turn our winter blues into winter creativity, and finally, our reality. Let's spice up the holidays! It would be a long, boring holiday as we can't travel around because of the virus. But we can channel our energy into some creativity that would birth motivation to start pushing again!

Sometimes, we need to take a couple of steps backward to build momentum for that one great leap. ~Oke of blessed memory.

So maybe, 2020 was the year to take a couple of steps backward to build momentum for our next big move! Let's hit it!
