"Failure is only the opportunity to begin something again, only this time, more wisely"                                                                                                                     ~ Henry Ford

There are so many roads to success, one of which is failure. To get to the top, failing at some point is inevitable. Failure is not the end of the road, it is only an occurrence. If we do not fail at some point, if we are not making mistakes at some point, then we aren’t making decisions. The only way to avoid failure is not doing anything; remaining in our comfort zones and not giving life the chance to teach us its ways.

Many at times, we all want to push at something till we get what we want, but unfortunately, without the mindset that at some point in the journey, things won’t just go right, things won’t just go the way we planned, and when these things begin to happen, we tag ourselves failures. Truth is, most times we let our emotions take over at this point, without getting to see and learn the lessons life is teaching us at that point. Instead of letting our brains think, we let our hearts do the work, and at that vulnerable state, all we can think of are the failures, and not the lessons in the process we’re going through at that point.

It’s saddening to think of the fact that because we couldn’t learn the lessons and understand the process we were going through, we tend to repeat the same mistakes, and awfully hope for a different and better result. It’d be foolish of us to do the same thing twice, hoping for a different and positive outcome. When life chooses to humble us, it isn’t necessarily to break us. So, instead of us coming out a shadow of our former self, let’s make a decision to come out bigger and better than the former.

When next we make mistakes, when next we record failures in whatever we do, instead of acknowledging just the failures and letting out emotions take over, let’s take note of the lessons and allow our brains to do the logical thinking for us. Instead of going back to our pillows to cry and give ourselves a thousand reasons to give up, let’s head back to the drawing board and restrategize; let’s give ourselves instead, a thousand and one reasons to never give up but stay fighting. Because in the end, only the records of our successes will speak for us and not the number of times we failed or kept trying.
