2020 Gratitude List

So many songs define my moods and experiences this year, Feelings by Chandler Moore, You Hold It All Together by Maverick City, so many more.

At the end of last year, I challenged myself to write down 21 reasons to be grateful by the end of this year. I didn't know what to expect, just probably gratitude for life, health, and wealth. But God did surprise me. This year was such a rough tough year for me, and going back to see where I challenged myself on the 21 reasons to be grateful, I sure did doubt if I'd have up to 21 reasons to be grateful. It's the last day of the year, and God gave me 40 reasons to be grateful!❤️

1. I'm grateful for the most underrated gift, L I F E.

2. I'm grateful for the gift of family.

3. I'm grateful for the gift of new circles.

4. I'm grateful for the gift of community, PAP, TC NATION, SOGIZ.

5. I'm grateful for good health.

6. I'm grateful for smashed goals unconsciously but intentionally (Y'all, going back to my notes brought me tears. 2020 was a year, but God has been FAITHFUL and I didn't even realize it).

7. I'm grateful for the gift of VULNERABILITY!

8. I'm grateful for the gift of courage!

9. I'm grateful for the gift of encounters‼️💯.

10. I'm grateful for the gift of PERSPECTIVE. GOD'S PERSPECTIVE‼️.

11. I'm grateful to God for using my situations to fix me.

12. I'm grateful that in all these, He surrounded me with people, friends, community, to remind me of His unfailing love and His presence even when I didn't feel it or see it.

13. I'm grateful for the lessons I learned this year, from life, from the Holy Spirit, from people.

14. I'm grateful for new friendships.

15. I'm grateful for the gift of worship music. It brought me to a beautiful place of intimacy, much more than I expected.

16. I'm grateful for the gift and opportunity to worship.

17. I'm grateful for the late nights. Those were nights of deep transformation, purging, and pruning.

18. I'm grateful for the gift of prosperity.

19. I'm grateful for protection.

20. I'm grateful for the gift of beauty.

21. I'm grateful for the gift to see the beauty in diversity.

22. I'm grateful for hope.

23. I'm grateful for the gift of RELATIONSHIP over religion.

24. I'm grateful for the gift of technology, that helped the entire body of Christ meet in one Spirit even when the whole world was shut down!

25. I'm grateful for the opportunity to express myself!

26. I'm grateful for the privilege to express my gifts and talents!

27. I'm grateful for the new habits!

28. I'm grateful for the gift of connections.

29. I'm grateful for the gift of purpose.

30. I'm grateful for the gift of clarity.

31. I'm grateful for a sound mind in all these!

32. I'm grateful that God showed me that He can be the God to fight my battles and still be the God of my emotions!

33. I'm grateful that I found more than a God in God. I found a friend, I found a Father, I found a lover. I found peace. I found hope. I found joy. I found courage.

34. I'm grateful for the gift of healing. Not physical healing. But emotional healing, psychological healing, mental healing. Still in the process but God is really doing a big surgery in my heart!

35. I'm grateful for the gift of faith! And not just some little faith y'all. BIG CRAZY FAITH!!

36. I'm grateful for the gift of testimonies!

37. I'm grateful for the gift of God's Word.

38. I'm grateful for the gift of growth. All-round.

39. I'm grateful for the presence of the Holy Spirit.

40. And finally, it's a month to my birthday‼️. The last year of my being teenager‼️.

Show me a greater God y'all ‼️

I am grateful to God in all, and more grateful to understand that more blessings come to a heart filled with gratitude. To 2021, in more hopeful anticipation!🎉
